About Me

I am Smrithi...: I am a child of the Darjeeling hills with deep love and affection for my land and people. Born and brought up in Darjeeling, I have spent all my life in the Eastern Himalayas, including a few years in Nepal and Bhutan. An alumnus of Mount Hermon, Darjeeling, I am a qualified and experienced school teacher and administrator working at Riverdale, a small school in Pokhriabing valley, amidst the hills. A trained mountaineer from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling and Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi I love nature and the outdoors. I am committed to the conservation of the ecology and wildlife in Darjeeling.
